The Fatima Rosary Discussion and Cds available

May 14, 2009

The following may all seem a little confusing, (because of the Ookee way this old man explains stuff) or if you are not used to the praying of the Rosary. Hopefully, if you will take the time to read it all, some sense or further meditative thought will ensue.  More →

Also bear in mind that Praying the Rosary can be made easy, even second nature, by use of the CD (available at this site) as a tool.

May The Blessed Virgin Lead You to Her Son, May Jesus Lead You To His Father, May You Live In Eterenal Bliss, with the Saints and Angels, Praising Him Forever.

What is the Differance between “Praise”-”Honor”and “Worship”???

May 13, 2009

PRAISE and HONOR  are closely related
IN our finite realm, we often honor and even “praise” others for their accomplishments.
This can take on many many forms:
 The simple
(yet fulfilling to the receiver) Smile or all knowing glance – hand shake – kiss – or wave.  More →

Time … What is it???

May 12, 2009

During the process of God Creating all that is, time would seem to be the one thing HE ordained necessary to create and put into place (or set in motion), which holds everything in the finite. More →

Does God Speak to Each “Through” others interpreting The Bible???

April 13, 2009

This would seem to be the premise upon which Every known denomination or Non-denomination of Christianity is based.. and most assuredly boils down to “authority”.

This does give rise to some basic questions, which MUST be answered within the heart of each individual:

1).  Has God given earthly authority to NO ONE, to interpret His Word of Scripture and ONLY HIS WORD must stand without interpretation? (this would cause the Bible to be a book that can not be read, for the moment we read something we “interpret” it).

2). Has God given earthly authority and the responsibility ONLY to ones self,  to interpret His Words of Scripture as it best suits ones own eternal situation or office in life? (This works,. but only if there was never to be a Church and contradicts the 22 books of the Bible that were written in the efforts of unifying “Christ’s Church”. Starting with: The Book of Acts 1:1 and continuing through The Book of Jude 1:25 All of the latter being, those books known as the Epistles (meaning “Letters”)

3). Has God given earthly authority to multiple individuals or groups, to interpret His Words of Scripture, to whom one should be loyal, charging each given authority to accept the responsibility for guiding individuals closer to Him? (This could work,. although may have a serious flaw, because on earth it is extremely difficult to have multiple authorities where “unity” is the goal).

4). Has God given earthly authority to one  person or group, to interpret His Words of Scripture, to whom all should be loyal, thereby making that which has been given authority responsible for guiding all closer to Him? (this does work,. from the Heavenly side of things, or at least is a “concept” that the human mind can easily grasp, although if human pride is figured in, it could make a mess on the earthly side)

These four questions could well have many variations added to them, although they have been asked in this fashion to allow variations within each.

If we look at Scriptural History of the Old Testament, and Jesus’ earthly life within the New Testament and the hierarchy established in the New Testament from Pentecost forward, we find it difficult to answer a solid YES to questions 1-2or 3, regardless of what variations we wish to interject.

Although individually our free will does allow us to answer “yes” “no” or “maybe so” to any of these questions OR make up another question we would “rather answer”.

None the Less we each must answer. More

The Sign of the Cross, What is up with it?

March 31, 2009

1).    The Sign of The Cross  (Scriptural, (Matthew 28:19) as well as Charismatic prayer from Christian cultural tradition)

a).     recited as follows: “In the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit”.  amen.

b).     If this old man were a big shot in the United States Government  …and while entering a meeting with other big shots of the Armed Forces, it may well be announced: “The representative has arrived in the name of The White House … The Pentagon … and in the name of the Supreme Court” or whatever.. and rest assured… this old man, would have the attention of the other “big shots” there …

c). Well Ladies and Gentlemen …it is the same with us Christian soldiers…. except …with “the Sign of the Cross” (with or without the hand motion vertically and horizontally) we are not out to get the attention of others. (although there is a solidarity when a group of Christians pray this together)  Instead we are alerting ourselves to the remembrance that we are NOT just …praying – working – living in our own names … but we desire to conform ourselves to allow the Will of GOD to guide our lives … In -thought – word – and deed.

12 step program to Worshiping Jesus and Honoring Mary

March 28, 2009

For anyone that may think that we who honor The Blessed Virgin do it too much: Try out this 12 step thought process please.

1). My Savior is Jesus The Christ.

2). His Father IS THE ALMIGHTY.

3). The Holy Ghost is my mentor and IS THEIR Love. He is to personify me and All Mankind.

4). They are THE TRIUNE DEITY.

5). They have no equal.

6). They Created a Perfect World for man to exist in.

7). With the help of a fallen angel, man messed it up, and we each have continued to add too the disruption and insult Them since the mess began.

8). They derived a plan by which man could be reconciled With Them through Humility and Love.

9). This plan involved The Second Person of THE TRIUNE DEITY coming physically into Their now imperfect world.

10). A Humble Virgin was chosen from a People that the Triune God had Consecrated to be His Own for This Very Purpose.

11). That Virgin IS NAMED MARY and She IS THE MOTHER of JESUS.

12). JESUS (Alone and His Hypostatic Union) is so Powerful that the great serpent satan and his fallen angels and all the demons of the universe are not only filled with horror, but they cry out in everlasting agony, when a sinful man or woman will turn away from the pride that evil tempts them with, EVEN by embracing The Humble Mother of Jesus, as Their Mother, accepting JESUS as their personal SAVIOR and the responsibility of being a personable member of HIS family.

Can there be a Greater Power than the Ability of;

Having Your enemies fear even Your Mother because of the Love and Honor Your Family Shows Her, out of Love FOR YOU???

Is Recieving The Euharist Cannibalism?

March 13, 2009

THE FOLLOWING SCENARIO IS SIMPLY THAT …. a scenario …. I am no theologian other then that of the  homespun type. having shared these thoughts with several catholic priests and several protestant ministers ( all of Whom I trust more then myself)  and having them find “no harm in exploring the thoughts ” I will share them with you …  but remember this is by NO MEANS a  Doctrine in any Church I know of, NOT A TEACHING,  and only food for thought:  More of this blog→

Is this an ultimate test of “friendship”?

March 13, 2009

WHAT IF:

We and one of our friends, both happen to “like” (to the point of what could be called a superficial “Love”) the same thing …

For example .. Butter Pecan Ice Cream…or Movies by a certain director or actor involved… or Traveling to a certain place which would require airplane fare … and

WHAT IF:

You were the one that by some happenstance came upon Free tickets for 2 to that place or opening night premier of a movie… Or a bargain on a Gallon of the good brand of Butter Pecan …(the stuff that doesn’t need any topping to be melt in your mouth good, in fact it is so good it would be insulted by putting topping on it)

Wouldn’t it be a marvelous “test” of friendship … to anonymously bestow the complete gift on your friend. Making them think it came from some totally outside source, to see if they come running to you with the excitement and desire to share something that they should also know you enjoy as much as they, and that they would think of no other before you in such matters?.. Who made you the Judge?… A Catholic take on judging

March 12, 2009

We all know or have been told and are supposed to know or at least like to live under the pretence that we know, that “judgment” is not supposed to be a part of our detail.  “Judge NOT that you shall NOT BE JUDGED”. More

Do “Passions” achieve Satisfaction? A Catholic view

March 11, 2009

It has been questioned, (by the rightwingers) that in general society has somehow “lowered its’ sights” in the area of those things in this world for which we humans become passionate about.

If this is true, it may explain some of societies generalized problems but much would seem to depend on the demography of the individual involved in the thought.  More
